Do you offer farm tours?
We offer farm tours each year that coincide with seasonal events: a spring tour is offered alongside our annual plant sale, a summer tour is scheduled with a tomato canning workshop, and a fall tour is scheduled with our annual harvest bonfire. Sign up for our newsletter to stay up to date on all the latest happenings on the farm and keep an eye on our Events page!
How do you grow your food/raise your animals?
We are a low/no till farm and employ organic/biological techniques in our market garden. We believe food is medicine and that the health of our soil is directly correlated to our own health. Our highest priority is building soil and the soil food web through these techniques.
Similarly, our livestock is raised outdoors in their natural environment. Our hogs are rotated on pasture and fed a non-GMO feed supplement that is tested herbicide and pesticide free. Additionally the hogs feed on garden scraps and fall nuts/seeds along our wooded edges.
Our grass-fed beef herd is rotated to fresh grass daily and is 100% grass fed and grass finished. Our animals are heritage and old world breeds that thrive in these conditions and provide well marbled, flavored meat.
